The launch of the OnePlus 2 is only a few weeks away but today OnePlus revealed the last specification before the big day 27 July. The RAM inside the OnePlus 2 is the latest and greatest on the market: LPDDR4. On their forum, they OnePlus said “Your RAM is what handles your device’s short-term actions, like apps that are currently running or those in the background. With LPDDR4, you’ll see faster loading times, smoother gameplay, and never-before-seen energy-saving features”.
They said it will help in lower power consumption for better battery efficiency. The RAM of the OnePlus 2 uses a lower operating voltage than its predecessor, decreasing from 1.2V to 1.1V. And with speeds up to 32 GB/s, it is also twice as fast as the LPDDR3. It offers optimal support for the power-saving low-frequency mode that brings clock speeds down when performing those everyday and necessary tasks.
LPDDR4 will provide better user experience while using features like slow-motion video, face recognition, and low-latency gaming–features that typically use a lot of bandwidth and can cause heavy lagging, these all without killing your battery.
Eagerly waiting for final release on 27th.
Dear OnePlus we just hope you will be having some exciting upgrade about operating system also, which is much more important than packing tons of hardware, because its worth nothing if your OS isn’t capable of utilize the potential of the hardware.
