The combination of Nokia and Android has always been a most fantasized product among the smartphone lovers. After the successful launch of Nokia 3310, the Finnish company HMD Global may launch three brand new Nokia Android SmartPhones in India, on June 13.
Nokia used to be the most popular and the biggest mobile phone manufacturer in the World but it fell apart with the rise of iPhone and Android phones. Nokia has always denied the potential of Android and moved forward with their homemade OS Symbian and Microsoft’s Windows Phone which clearly didn’t work well for Nokia and ended up getting sold to Microsoft.
Present smartphone market would have been completely different if Nokia had manufactured the Android-based smartphone at first place. The design and build of Nokia’s N Series or Lumia Series devices are still unmatchable.
Now, Nokia’s devices and services division is a part of Microsoft but in 2016 a Finnish company HMD Global bought a part of Microsoft’s feature phone business and has a licensing agreement that allows HMD Global to manufacture the smartphones under the brand name Nokia.
Today, India has one of the biggest mobile phone markets in the world and there was a time when Nokia used to be the synonym for Mobile in India, So how could any company miss that opportunity when they are bringing the devices with a brand name Nokia.
The Nokia 3310(2017) is already available in the market, now HMD Global is launching three Nokia branded smartphone in India most probably on June 13, these devices are Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, I have got a chance to experience these devices during the Bangalore tech blogger meet hosted by HMD Global and I can say that these smartphones will rock the Indian smartphone market with their design, build and competitive price tags.

HMD Global is going to reveal the detailed specifications on June 13 (most probably) including the official price tags and availability in Indian online and offline markets. During the Bangalore event, one of the HMD’s employee hinted the price tag for all three devices. The Price of Nokia 3 will be around Rs. 7,000/-, Price for Nokia 5 will be around Rs. 13,000/- and the price of Nokia 6 is going to be Rs. 18,000/- (Approx).
