Bengaluru, March 24, 2025 – The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is set to host India’s first ‘Nano Electronics Roadshow’ on March 27, 2025, at the National Science Seminar Complex, IISc Bengaluru. Organized in collaboration with premier institutions like IISc Bengaluru, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Guwahati, the event aims to accelerate India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
The roadshow, which is expected to bring together industry leaders, government officials, academia, startups, and venture capitalists, is expected to be a milestone event that fosters innovation and strategic partnerships in nanoelectronics and semiconductor technology.
A Push Towards Semiconductor Self-Sufficiency:
Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, will be the Chief Guest, alongside distinguished Guests of Honour, including Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY; Dr Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, CEO, Anusandhan National Research Foundation; Utpal Shah, Senior VP, Strategy and Business Development, Tata Electronics; Anand Ramamoorthy, Managing Director, Micron; and V. Narayanan, Chair, ISRO.
The conference will discuss cutting-edge topics such as quantum technology, neuromorphic computing, artificial intelligence, IT advancements, and indigenous innovations in nanoelectronics.

Spotlight on Startups and Indigenous Innovations:
One of the key highlights of the event will be the participation of 25 deep-tech startups, alongside 50 technology demonstrations showcasing innovations in nanoelectronics. Additionally, 25 venture capital firms and 25 industry representatives will explore investment and collaboration opportunities to boost India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
Aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), the initiative aims to strengthen the country’s electronics manufacturing and innovation landscape. By fostering academia-industry collaboration, the government seeks to create a sustainable and globally competitive semiconductor ecosystem.
