Optiemus Infracom launches Evolve and Evolve X under the legendary smartphone brand name BlackBerry. BlackBerry is one of the oldest smartphone brands that use to have the huge and premium customer base but it started losing its customer base after the entry of Android Era.
Android started a new race in the smartphone market, after the release of Android, there were many other smartphone manufacturers including some really big players. BlackBerry’s initial denial for Android adaptation made really difficult for the company to hold its customer base globally. However, later BlackBerry had also launched the Android mobile phones but by then it was too late for that because companies like Samsung, LG, and HTC were ruling the Android Smart Phone market on the global scale.
Now, Canadian company BlackBerry Limited (formerly known as Research In Motion, or RIM) has stopped making mobile phones since Chinese company TCL acquired its Global brand rights. According to the acquisition agreement, TCL will “design, manufacture, sell, and provide customer support for BlackBerry-branded mobile devices,” while BlackBerry will chip in with the software and services. BlackBerry already had an agreement with the other companies in India, Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh so the deal wasn’t applicable in these countries.
Optiemus Infracom is the brand licensee for BlackBerry in India and it has launched the Evolve and Evolve X with the brand name BlackBerry. If you are buying a new BlackBerry branded Android mobile phone in India just remember that it not been manufactured by BlackBerry Limited USA it’s being manufactured by an Indian company Optiemus in Noida, India.
