Taiwan Excellence stepped up its efforts to boost India’s smart cities mission with its strong participation at the Smart Asia India Expo & Summit 2018 laying major focus on accelerating innovation and entrepreneurship.
Smart Asia India Expo & Summit 2018 aimed to connect Taiwan’s expertise and India’s opportunity in building intelligent, robust and efficient Smart Cities. The trade show is being held from October 4th to 6th at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC), Bengaluru.
At the Expo, the best of Taiwan’s ICT industry displayed some of their most innovative creations that could create a big splash in the Indian market. There were various products and brands in smart ICT, smart healthcare, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and smart-life devices industries.
Renowned Taiwanese brands like Acer, Adata, Advantech, AIFA, Apacer, Asus, Aver, Avision, BenQ, Buder, BXB, CyberPower, D-Link, Edimax, Energy Management Systems, FECA, Gigabyte, ICP Das, InWin,Kenda, Medimaging Integrated (MIIS), Moxa, MSI, Opro 9, Plustek, QNAP, Team, Thermaltake, Tokuyo, Transcend, Walrus Pumps, and XTGL showcased their state-of-the-art products at the event.
There were too many products from different brand and companies, but I liked i-CTRL the most. Taiwan Excellence demonstrated some really cool products but iCTRL has got the attention from most of the visitors.
What is i-CTRL?
i-CTRL is a WiFi Remote control box manufactured by Taiwan based AIFA Technology Corp. This is a very small but an innovative product which can transform your any household products or home appliances with remote control capabilities into a smart and IoT enabled products.
i-CTRL is basically a universal remote control that can be accessed & controlled remotely via SmartPhones. i-CTRL can control any device which supports remote controlling, i-CTRL can connect to the cloud via WiFi and then the device itself can be controlled using its official Android/iPhone app practically from anywhere.
After connecting the i-CTRL WiFi Remote Box to the cloud, it gives you the luxury to control your home appliances or any remote controlled device from anywhere using its app. The app has pre-configured settings for almost all Indian and global products like TV, AC, Lamp, Fan, Set-Top Box, DVD Player etc.
The i-CTRL is working as a bridge between products and the mobile phone; suppose you want to change the TV channel or you want to turn off living room’s AC while sitting in your office, all you have to do is open the i-CTRL app select the product and press the virtual button on the app.
Now app will send the command to the i-CTRL device connected to cloud via WiFi and kept in the remote control range (8 meters) of TV and AC, as soon as i-CTRL receives the command it will start execution just like any ordinary remote.
