You might have stumbled upon news about Apple going to kill 3.5mm audio jack in their upcoming device! iPhone 7, yet to hear the official statement from Apple regarding killing audio jack but LeEco (Formerly LeTv) actually launched three android devices without the 3.5mm headphone jack. LeEco has used USB Type-C digital headphones technology instead of popular 3.5mm audio jack in recently launched Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2.
Last year LeEco introduced the world’s first USB Type C smartphone and the feature is trending now. LeEco definitely made the history once again by using USB Type-C as audio output port instead of regular 3.5mm audio jack and this may also be the futuristic feature but the question is how this will be convenient in daily commute when you may want to listen to the music or making a phone call over headphone while charging.
It has a single port for both charging and headphones, so you can not insert headphones while charging, you will have to choose what is that you need more charging your phone or using headphones until you have Bluetooth headphones.
LeEco understands that it will be very hard for you to find USB Type-C headphones in the market so they have also launched two USB Type-C headphones a pair of in-ears and a pair of noise-cancelling over-ears headphones.
LeEco’s Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 are similar in design but different in hardware specifications, Le 2 and Le 2 Pro are mid-range Android smartphones which have MediaTek’s deca-core processor, whereas the Le Max 2 packs 6GB of RAM and Snapdragon 820 chipset.
