Review of Intex Car Inverter DC 200 | Unboxing the Intex Car Inverter

While covering the Intex mobile accessories launch event back in September last year, I had mentioned that the Intex Car Inverter DC 200 was one of the best products among other products launched that day. I would like to thank Intex and their PR team for sending the review unit. I have been using the product for almost a month now and I think it’s a must-have accessory for all car owners.

Do not confuse the Intex Car Inverter with some sort of power bank or just backup charging option because it’s not. The Intex Car Inverter DC-200 takes the car’s DC power socket and converts it into an AC power output.  It can charge any low load consumer electronic products that work on AC power. It’s a 200W power charger that has an AC socket, 2 USB ports and a cigarette lighter socket which allows charging up to 4 devices simultaneously.

Design & Build Quality Of Intex Car Inverter DC 200:

The company has tried their best to make the product as portable and convenient as possible. The design of the Intex Car Inverter is tall cylindrical (coffee mug shaped) with an exhaust fan at the bottom. The shape of the Car Inverter is very convenient to carry since it fits perfectly in the glass/coffee mug holder of the car. The ventilation fan at the bottom helps the inverter stay cool even during heavy use. The device is built using a plastic material however, the build quality seems pretty solid and durable. The red and black colour with a glossy finish enhances the design and look of the DC-200. The top of the device has multiple ports including an AC output port, two USB ports, a cigarette lighter port, and also a power button along with the power indicator LED.

Performance Of Intex Car Inverter DC 200

The Intex Car Inverter DC-200 gives an output of 220V~240V/50 Hz from the AC output port and DC 5V/3.4A from the USB ports. If you want to charge a phone or a power bank, even a normal car charger will do that but today in the era of fast/quick charging its very painful to see the devices charging slowly.

What if you are travelling by road or you are on a road trip with your friends and you need to charge your phones, laptop, camera and other devices all at once? The Intex Car Inverter is perfect car accessory for the above situation.

You can charge two USB charging supported device using the USB port and your Laptop/Camera using the AC port. And with the AC output, you can enjoy the quick/fast/Dash charge using the original charger of the device.

I have tested the charger in many different ways possible over the last few weeks. I even connected an extension board and used multiple OnePlus device chargers and a laptop charger just to see if it’s able to charge all the devices using the extension board. I used two Dash charge enabled OnePlus devices and one laptop using the extension board and two other devices using the USB port.

I was amazed to see that the Inverter was able to charge all the devices without any problems. I kept all these devices connected for around half an hour and the Intex Car Inverter DC 200 worked absolutely fine all this time. It’s indeed a saviour for all the people who never want to run out of power.

It’s highly recommended by the company to avoid connecting the heavy load devices but even if you do it by mistake then don’t worry, the company has built the device keeping your safety as top priority.

The Intex Car Inverter comes with a built-in 25A/32V fuse protection to protect connected electronic devices and the inverter itself. The Trip in overload feature ensure that the car inverter while receiving voltage more than 15v-16v or lower than 9v-10v, automatically manages the fluctuation through overvoltage, under voltage.

If you own a car and want the luxury and comfort of charging multiple devices like laptop, mobiles, tablets, camera and other gadgets with their supposed charging speed, the Intex Car Inverter is the perfect solution.
