Apart from the tip about features of Zenfone 6 by Asus on twitter, the Head of Global Marketing Operations at ASUS has tipped about the camera by posting a photo on the official Instagram page using the hin in morse code.

If you convert the given morse code into text, it’s coming as “LIGUEPARA855-4813-5000EFALECOMSTEPHANPANTOLOMEUEDUARDOCAMPOSSILVA” and now if you just skip all alphabets from the translated code then it is coming as “855-4813-5000”. The final numeric numbers extracted from the morse code might be the hint of the specifications of Zenfone 6; 855 – Snapdragon 855 SoC, 4813 – 48MP+13MP camera, and 5000 – 5000mAh battery.

According to a leading mobile phone benchmarking application AnTuTu, Asus phone with model name as “ASUS_I01WD” which might be the Zenfone 6 has appeared on the benchmarking app and revealed some key specifications. According to the AnTuTu report, ASUS_I01WD (Zenfone 6) will have Snapdragon 855, 2340×1080 display resolution (Full HD+) 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

A tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has shared some photos of the Zenfone 6 with the case on Slashleaks which is showing a case render for the ZenFone 6 along with the expected basic design of the phone.

If Asus is really going to launch the Zenfone 6 with 5000mAh battery then this will be the first flagship phone to pack such a huge battery, and if this is true then it will also be interesting to see how the company has managed to optimized the weight of the phone while using such a big battery.

Infinix Smart 3 Plus (X627V) is a feature-packed entry-level budget mobile phone, it has a triple rear camera, 6.21 inches HD+ display, MediaTek A22 Quad Core 2.0GHz processor and 3500 mAh Li-ion Polymer Battery. If I am not wrong then Infinix Smart 3 Plus (X627V) is the only mobile phone in the price range of Rs. 7k which comes with the three rear camera lens setup. Infinix has launched the Smart 3 Plus in a segment which is the most crowded mobile phone segment in India. In sub 10k segment there are too many phones probably more than any other segment, I shouldn't be surprised if I visited offline mobile phone store and came to know about few mobile phone brands which I never heard before. There are many companies and many brands in the sub 10k segment specially in offline mobile phone market which are launching the devices on a regular basis and also people are actually buying it based on the recommendation of store's salesperson. Infinix is an online-only brand of Transsion Holding and other brands of the company are TECNO and iTel. Infinix Smart 3 Plus is going to be available online only and it will the direct combat with the entry-level Xiaomi Redmi and Realme phones. Xiaomi Redmi phones and Realme C series phones are doing really well in this sub 10k segment in India but Infinix Smart 3 Plus is going to play a challenging role in the battle. Let's take look at the key specification of Infinix Smart 3 Plus (X627V). Key Specifications of Infinix Smart 3 Plus (X627V): Infinix Smart 3 Plus (X627V)  Display 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD 720 x 1520 resolution 19:9 aspect ratio ~269 PPI 88% screen-to-body ratio Waterdrop display notch Processor MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 (12 nm) Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 GPU PowerVR GE8320 RAM 2GB Storage 32GB Expandable up to 256 GB; Dedicated MicroSD card slot Primary Camera AI Triple Camera 13MP (f/1.8) + 2MP + Low Light Sensor PDAF, AR Stickers, AI Portrait, HDR, Night Mode, Beauty Mode Dual LED Flash 1080p@30fps video recording Selfie Camera 8MP, f/2.0 AR Stickers, Beauty, Portrait, HDR Screen Flash Battery 3,500mAh, Non-removable Li-Po Audio  3.5mm Audio Jack Speakers Connectivity Dual Nano SIM, 4G VoLTE Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, FM Radio 3.5mm jack, microUSB 2.0, USB On-The-Go, Sensors Fingerprint sensor - Rear Mounted G-sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor, Compass Dimensions and weight 6.18 x 2.99 x 0.31 inches 148g Colour Midnight Black, Sapphire Cyan Software XOS Cheetah 5.0 skin on Android 9 Pie Price — Box Contents Infinix Smart 3 Plus Handset Adapter, USB Cable TPU Case, SIM Ejector Pin Protective Screen Guard Quick Switch Adapter Quick Start Guide Design and Display of Infinix Smart 3 Plus: Infinix Smart 3 Plus is a low budget phone but its design and finishing are impressive. It has a plastic body and glass on the front, the rear plastic panel has glossy finishing which is giving it a shiny and glass-like look and feels but unfortunately it is also a fingerprint magnet. The triple rear camera is vertically placed on the rear side at the left top corner followed by the dual LED flash right below the Triple lenses setup. Apart from the camera setup, the fingerprint scanner is also mounted on the rear side, the Infinix branding is right below the fingerprint sensor and a couple of more texts on the bottom of the rear panel.   The volume rocker and the power button is on the right side of the phone, on left, it has the dual SIM + MicroSD card slot in the same tray. At the bottom, it has speaker grille, Micro USB port, microphone and 3.5mm audio jack; there isn't anything on the top portion. The 6.2 inches HD+ display panel is on the front with very minimal bezels, the top of the display has the trending waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and sensors. The earpiece is at the right above selfie camera near the top edge of the display panel. The full HD display is very common these days even in the budget segment but Infinix still trusted on the HD+ screen for Infinix Smart 3 Plus. Not very sure about the display panel manufacturer but liked the display, it seems like Infinix has done some really cool software tweak for the display. However, the company has no other option but using the HD display since the MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 doesn't support the full HD display. I have found the brightness and colour reproduction satisfying considering its price segment. Performance Review of Infinix Smart 3 Plus: Infinix Smart 3 Plus is powered by the MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 SoC which is a Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, the variant I have been reviewing is having 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage this is also the only RAM variant launched by the company so far. Hardware is not the only factor which influences the performance, software plays an important and very crucial role in the overall performance of any mobile phone. It has the company's latest custom UI skin called XOS Cheetah 5.0.0 on Android Pie, the operating system is os much customised that you won't even get a glimpse of the stock android and yes it has the bloatware too, but fortunately, most of the preinstalled apps can be uninstalled. There are some official applications that you can not remove or uninstall from the system which is bad for the phone with such limited resources. The overall performance of the phone is just average, its not very smooth in performance there are some minor lags while doing multitasking but if you are not into the super multitasking then it should work fine for you. The performance is like any other mobile phone in the price range of under 7-8k. The performances of phones under this price segment including the Infinix Smart 3 Plus are good until you compare this with the flagship phones that most of the reviewers are using. These phones would be mostly the first full-fledged smartphone for its potential buyers or some of the buyers will be also buying it as a secondary phone not to use as a daily driver. The first time users who have not been using a flagship phone may not even notice the lags, considering its target buyers, price, and specs its good phone to enjoy the Video Streamings, watching YouTube on its big and bright display, playing some regular games and other regular uses like browsing, making phone calls etc. The fingerprint sensor is working just fine, sometimes it's taking a bit longer to unlock the device but mostly able to unlock quickly. If you do not want to use the fingerprint sensor then the Face Unlock feature is also there. XOS Cheetah 5.0.0 comes with a feature called AIBox to block the unnecessary notification from appearing, I find it very irritating because there I am not able to find a way to remove this from the notification area, not even after disabling its functionality. Battery and camera play an important role in making a decision to buy some specific budget phone, will discuss the camera later, let's talk about the battery. The battery backup of Infinix Smart 3 Plus is very good, it has a 3500mAh battery which takes 1 hour 30-45 minutes to charge the phone from 0 to 100 per cent. On a regular day to day uses it may last more than one and a half day easily and 6-8 hours on heavy uses like playing games and streaming videos etc. Camera Review of Infinix Smart 3 Plus: The camera is the price focus of this phone and as I said for the obvious reason it plays an important role in making the decision to buy any phone. Infinix Smart 3 Plus has the Triple Camera Setup (13MP (f/1.8) + 2MP + Low Light Sensor) for the rear camera and 8MP, f/2.0 camera for selfie. As I've mentioned earlier in this post this might be the only mobile phone in its price range to feature the Triple rear camera. Both rear and front camera of the phone is good enough to take photos that social media ready. The focus speed of the rear camera is pretty quick, it also has an option to adjust the brightness before taking the photo from the rear camera but it is not in sync with the toggle and not working smoothly. There are many camera modes like AI Portrait, HDR, Night Mode, Beauty Mode. The photo capturing speed in any mode is fast but it's taking around 1-2 seconds of time to show the preview of the images. The camera app of the phone definitely use some software updates to run more smoothly and effortlessly. I appreciate the picture quality from both selfie and primary camera. Photos from both cameras are coming good in the daylight conditions, good enough to share on social media sites, You won’t get many details though. During the low light conditions, both cameras are capturing too much noise, for a rear camera, it's slightly manageable with the Night mode but not for the front camera not even using the screen flash. the colors on the photos appearing good with a balanced contrast, but the camera performance is not the same in the low light conditions. (All photos are in low resolution and optimised, click on photos to open the originals) Rear Camera Samples: Selfie Samples: Verdict: the overall design, performance, battery and camera of the Infinix Smart 3 Plus is impressive considering the fact that you are getting all these for just Rs, 6,999. You can consider buying this phone if you are looking for an entry-level mobile phone and big display, camera, and the battery is your priority. Similar options in this price segment that I recommend is the Realme C1. If you can stretch your budget then there are also some other good options like Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7, Honor 9N, Honor 7A etc. You can get this phone now from Flipkart at a price of Rs. 6,999.
